Soil Conservationist

Description: Deals with soil erosion control, moisture
conservation and sound land use, and plans soil management
practices such as reforestation, terracing and crop rotation

Salary: $23 - $32/hour

Minimum Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in field of specialty

Recommended College Coursework: Agronomy, Soil Science,
Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Studies

Experience Needed: Mid-Level
Applies principles of 2 or more specialized fields, therefore more qualified than technician

Growth potential: EDD projects 10 % growth in soil conservation positions by 2016
