Environmental Scientist
Description: Conducts research to identify and abate/eliminate sources
of pollutants that affect people, wildlife and their environments.
Collects and synthesizes data derived from pollution emission
measurements, atmospheric monitoring, meteorological and mineralogical
information and soil or water samples. Analyzes data to assess pollution
problems, establishes standards and develops pollution control programs
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000/year
Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in scientific or engineering
disciplines.
Recommended College Coursework: Advanced study in Environmental Sciences
Experience Needed: High Level
Desired Education: Master's or PhD
